I am happy to publish a new issue of The Clarion, issue 8. The issue contains several pieces, see links below. This year, one of the great Second Language Acquisition researchers, Kirsten Haastrup, sadly left us. In the first piece, Birgit Henriksen writes in memory of her colleague and friend. Then, Amanda Edmonds tells us about her impressions of the last Eurosla conference, which took place in Stockholm in September this year. Next, Anna Ewert, one of next year's conference organisers, writes about Eurosla 22 and the city of Poznan, where the conference will take place. As most Eurosla members will know, elections for the Eurosla Executive Committee were held during the Stockholm conference. In this issue of The Clarion, we have the opportunity to get to know a bit more about the new (and some of the old!) committee members. I hope you enjoy reading The Clarion. If you have any comments on the contents, or ideas for contributions for coming issues, please do not hesitate to contact me at christina.lindqvist@moderna.uu.se Follow the links to read the contributions: In memoriam: Professor Emerita, Dr. Kirsten Haastrup, 1939-2011 Impressions of Eurosla 21 Welcome to Poznan 2012
